Saturday, 07.12.2024 and Sunday, 08.12.2024,
on both days from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Please note that our Christmas tours are only offered in German.

The first weekend of advent revolves entirely around Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol” with our beloved theatre production and with classic guided tours through the festively decorated castle!

Experience Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” as a “Stationentheater”, a theatre production that takes the audience on a tour of several stages throughout the castle. The event is brought to you by the staff of Reichsburg castle in cooperation with the Theatre society of Kaisersesch.

As an alternative to the “Christmas Carol”, you can experience our classic guided tour and discover the castle’s rooms embellished with abundant Christmas decorations! Have a break at the small but picturesque market in our Roses courtyard to enjoy mulled wine and tasty treats, always accompanied by musical performances of our resident musicians “Mühlensänger”! Enjoy festive choral music in our historic cellar performed by the Christmas Carol Singers of Mayen’s Vokalensemble Genoveva (performing at 12 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.).

“A Christmas Carol” starts on an hourly basis and takes 45 minutes.
Castle tours start every 15 minutes and take about 30 minutes.

We recommend “A Christmas Carol” for children aged 6 and older. Please note that children under the age of 6 still need a children’s ticket.

Tickets can be bought exclusively in our  onlineshop from November 1st 2024.
